PURDUE WRF MODEL 2008-07-09 00Z run 24h forecast

Daily, real-time runs of the Weather Research and Forecasting model are created at Purdue University's Earth and Atmospheric Sciences department. 36-h runs begin at 00 and 12 UTC.

The WRF (v. 2.2) configuration used:

• YSU BL/turbulence parameterization
• Purdue Lin Microphysics
• RRTM longwave radiation
• Dudhia shortwave radiation
• Noah land-surface model
• 4.25 km grid spacing (790x660)
• 45 vertical levels
• 25 s time step

Inital and boundary conditions are from the 32 km NAM model fields obtained from EMC/NCEP, using the WRF Preprocessing System (WPS).
